PLMA Demand Response Markets

The DR Markets course explores how to leverage wholesale energy market models to design demand response programs for traditionally regulated, restructured, and emerging electricity markets; a detailed review of the similarities and differences among markets in which demand resources can participate; and, the current and future roles for electricity consumers, aggregators, energy retailers, utilities, and market operators.

DR Program Design and Implementation

Oct. 18-20 in Brooklyn, NY, co-hosted by Orange and Rockland Utilities with EnergyHub.
This course covers the key elements of demand response (DR) activities. This includes topics related to program development such as: the market and regulatory environments; business drivers; market potential; program design; and economic analysis. Topics related to program implementation will include the tactics and methodologies used to improve program success, including a discussion of: organizational and resourcing strategies; contracting; business processes; technology integration; and measurement & verification. Interactive exercises will enable participants to gain hands-on experience with various aspects of DR program development and implementation.

12th Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange

September 19-21, 2018, Aspen Meadows, Aspen, Colorado
Rocky Mountain Utility Exchange facilitates a networking and professional development conference for staff representatives of electric, gas, and water utilities serving Colorado and neighboring states who are responsible for developing and implementing customer programs related to energy/water efficiency, renewable energy, demand response and key account customer management. This event attracts about 150 utility and government staff as well as trade allies that provide products and services to support utility programs.
