Demand Response as a Catalyst for Energy Efficiency:

Integrating DR and EE in DSM Planning

Thursday, December 11, 2008; 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern)

Are Demand Response and Energy Efficiency goals competing or complementary interests within Demand Side Planning initiatives? Learn how DSM planning consultants and curtailment service providers are helping utilities and other energy planning organizations integrate demand response objectives with energy efficiency goals.

Discussion will also focus on how the communications infrastructure used to monitor and control Demand Response events can be leveraged to continually monitor building energy usage to maintain a high level of efficiency. Discover how this approach creates additional energy savings beyond simple equipment change-outs. Explore how demand response can serve as a gateway to energy efficiency through increased awareness, enhanced technology, and new revenue streams.
