Proposed HOME STAR federal legislation and challenges to proposed Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing have focused attention on the need to encourage homeowners to invest in improving the energy efficiency of their homes in ways that also create “clean energy” jobs in local communities.  HOME STAR  legislation has been approved by the U.S. House of Representatives and is slated to be presented as part of an Energy Bill in the U.S. Senate in September.  EGIA plans to be a nationwide Rebate Aggregator when HOME STAR legislation becomes law.

In the meantime, many home improvement contractors nationwide are noticing that interest in these new incentives are “constipating” the existing home improvement market – making homeowners postpone major improvements while they wait-and-see.  Hear how two California-based residential retrofit contractors are thriving in a down economy by offering their prospective customers financing options that increase their ability to close more and larger sales.  Learn how the non-profit Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA) is supporting home improvement contractors today with a portfolio of innovative EGIA GEOSmart financing solutions that don't require government or utility participation.  These solutions include the opportunity for contractors to buydown unsecured loan interest rates to as low as 5.9% fixed, with fixed minimum monthly loan payments that align with potential monthly energy savings.

Register for this web-based seminar to learn how your home improvement company can offer EGIA GEOSmart financing solutions throughout your sales territory - with and without government or utility sponsored incentives.
