This is a presentation especially for Service Roundtable member contractors interested in learning more about offering home performance services installed to national standards.
Comprehensive, sometimes called "whole house" or "home performance" energy efficiency retrofit and weatherization projects, are being aggressively promoted by utility and government sponsored initaitves. The programs encourage homeowners to invest in improving the energy efficiency of their homes, while also creating sustainable jobs in local communities.
Building Performance Institute (BPI) Accredited Contracting Companies are playing a major role in these initiatives. Why? Because more of these programs are mandating that that companies be BPI accredited in order to earn the higher incentive levels. Program examples include New York's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program, Energy Upgrade California, and Energy Trust of Oregon's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. All require or give preferential treatment to BPI Accredited Contracting Companies. A reason in so to protect the investment of homeowner and taxpayer dollars.
Register for this web-based seminar to learn how your home improvement company can get on the path to becoming a BPI Accredited Contracting Company.
Skills and Insights You Will Learn:
- Learn about the federal and state programs requiring BPI Certification or Accreditation to access top-dollar rebate and incentive programs
- Understand what the Building Performance Institute is, what it does, and why it is the only approved accreditation provider to date
- Hear from two successful home improvement contractors about how home performance is evolving their companies
- Get the details on the accreditation application process
